Costilla DSS is looking for an Adult Protection caseworker, duties include but are not limited to investigating allegations of physical and sexual abuse, caretaker neglect, exploitation and harmful acts (collectively referred to as "mistreatment") and self-neglect of at-risk adults. APS offers protective services to improve the health, safety, and welfare of at-risk adult experiencing mistreatment or self-neglect.

Facility Inspection / Compliance Advisory - Cielo Vista Ranch  

The Water Quality Control Division (the division) inspected the above referenced facility on June 10, 2024. The inspection included a review of the stormwater management plan records and a physical inspection of the facility. Findings identified during the inspection are detailed in the enclosed inspection report. 

THIS MATTER comes before the Court on Costilla County’s Motion to Dismiss or
Grant Summary Judgment on Defendants’ Counterclaims (“Motion”). The Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Costilla, Colorado (“County”) filed the Motion on January 12,
2024. Defendants Cielo Vista Ranch I, LLC and Cielo Vista Ranch, II, LLC (collectively
“CVR”) filed a Response in Opposition to Costilla County’s Motion to Dismiss or Grant
Summary Judgment on Defendants’ Counterclaims (“Response”) on February 12, 2024. On

The County wants to amend its complaint in order to include allegations regarding Resolution No. 2023-16 and to clarify that its claim for injunctive relief expressly includes an order for the Defendants to remove the sections of its “High Fence” that were constructed after the Moratorium was enacted on September 7, 2023, and otherwise remediate the damage caused by the CVR Defendants’ construction of the fence and associated grading during the Moratorium.

The Costilla County Public Health Agency is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide Public Health Nursing in Costilla County. The position will provide skilled nursing services including Immunizations, Communicable Disease control, and support in prevention areas/programs and Core Public Health Services.

A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred. Associate Degree with 2 years’ experience will be considered.

Current license (in good standing) to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in Colorado.
