- About Us
- The Clerk and Recorder's Office is responsible for registering automobiles, registering voters, administrating elections, recording documents, issuing marriage licenses, issuing liquor licenses, and maintaining records for the Board of County Commissioners.
The Clerk and Recorder's Office is made up of several divisions: Motor Vehicle, Elections, Recording, Clerk of the Board, and Torrens. Each department must maintain guidelines and updates prescribed by the law.
The employees of the Clerk and Recorder's Office are committed to quality service with an emphasis on the customers, citizens, and taxpayers of Costilla County. We are dedicated to serve our county with respect and efficiency.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Our ballot drop box is located near the north entrance of the parking lot. You may drop off any payments or transactions.
