Costilla County is now hiring seasonal workers for the Wildfire Mitigation Program. The job is part-time, 30 hours per week. Drivers license a plus, but not required. Job starts at 7:00 a.m. at the San Luis Shop. Must have own transportation to the shop. Must be able to lift 60lbs, operate polesaw, chainsaws and other duties as assigned. JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Costilla County Road and Bridge District 2 San Luis Shop is hiring a CDL Driver.
This position reports to the District 2 Shop Supervisor. This is a full-time position with benefits available after a 90-day probation period. Starting wage is $17/hr for a Class A license and $16/hr for a Class B license.
Position is responsible to operate dump truck to transport materials to various job site locations and operate and maintain heavy equipment. Duties include driving a truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials, haul and secure heavy loads, perform snow removal operations and operate a backhoe, front end loader and bull dozer to maintain county roads and bridges. Other duties and special tasks as assigned. Must use personal protective equipment and follow safety rules. Comply and follow DOT laws and requirements. Work environment involves inside a shop and outside in the elements. Work inside and outside a vehicle and around heavy and moving machinery. Job requires climbing, sitting/driving, shifting gears, covering/uncovering load, changing wheels, loosening/tightening lugs.
Must have a valid CDL Driver’s License.

The Costilla County Public Health Agency is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide Public Health Nursing in Costilla County. The position will provide skilled nursing services including Immunizations, Communicable Disease control, and support in prevention areas/programs and Core Public Health Services.
A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred. Associate Degree with 2 years’ experience will be considered.
Current license (in good standing) to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in Colorado.
